UK-based solar modules supplier Conergy has supplied modules for four farms in the UK being developed by Spanish renewable energy company Solaer.

The P-Series modules facilitated by the company have a combined power output of 15.3MW.

Solaer is developing the plants with an installed capacity ranging in size from 2.2MW to 5.8MW.

The plants have a consolidated annual power generation of about 14,000MWh to meet the requirements of nearly 4,000 homes.

Conergy Spain managing director Luis Jiménez Gutierrez remarked that the current contract is the company’s largest thus far.

"With years of experience, expertise and knowledge of working in different countries, we are each able to contribute to delivering successful projects both in Spain and abroad," added Gutierrez.

Three of the proposed projects are located in southwest of the UK while the fourth plant is located in Buckinghamshire, England.

Conergy UK and Ireland managing director Robert Goss noted, "We expect the UK market to grow by 13% per annum with 1.1 gigawatts installed by the end of this year, rising to 1.3 gigawatts a year in 2015."
