Wang Shoujun, chairman of China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC), met with Argentine President Mauricio Macri to hold talks concerning the construction of a fourth and fifth nuclear power plant in Argentina on Aug 3.
Argentina has been highly concerned about the nuclear power cooperative projects with China, and expects to begin construction as quickly as possible, according to Macri. CNNC has carried forward relevant agreement negotiations with Argentina’s partner team and jointly initiated preliminary measures for the NPP projects.
Wang also inspected the Atucha construction site during the visit in preparation for the nuclear power projects in Argentina.
