Clough Amec, a Australian-based joint venture of Amec, has secured a contract for Eni’s Blacktip project in Australia.
The Blacktip gas plant is situated about 240km from Darwin with the unmanned platform located about 110km offshore in the Joseph Bonaparte Gulf.
Amec will provide maintenance support to the 1.3 billion cubic meter per year onshore gas treatment plant and the offshore unmanned wellhead platform for the project
The scope of work involves providing support for routine and campaign maintenance along with specialist consultancy services, multidiscipline engineering, procurement, and management of subcontractors and fabrication.
The initial contract is for three years with further extension options.
Eni which holds 100% interest in the project will deliver gas to the Northern Territory for power generation.
