The 4th International Conference on Dam Engineering is to take place 18–20 October 2004 in Nanjing, China with International Water Power & Dam Construction as its official supporting magazine.
Keynote speakers are to include:
• Dr. R. P. Brenner, Applied Geosciences, Switzerland – Developments in the design and construction of sealing elements in dam foundations.
• Prof. Heinz Brand, University of Vienna, Austria – Continuous Compaction Control (CCC) for earth dams.
• Prof. Wingmen Ran, Mohair University, China – Development of Theory and Methods on High Dam Analysis.
• Prof. M Waveland, Electrowatt-Ekono AG, Switzerland – Dam safety aspects of reservoir-triggered seismicity
