The Chevron Products Company has introduced the newest member of its Delo brand of engine oils, lubricants and coolants, the Delo 400 LE Synthetic SAE 5W-40 CJ-4 standard diesel engine oil.

The new engine oil is claimed to be 100% synthetic and reportedly confirms to industry and engine manufacturers’ performance requirements. The product is formulated using a blend of the dispersant, detergent, oxidation inhibition, anti-wear, corrosion inhibition, viscosity improver and defoaming additive technologies, claims¬†Chevron.

The engine oil is formulated for use in pre- and post-2007 diesel engines and light-duty diesel pick-up trucks. The new product reportedly offers cold startup capabilities. It is fully backwards compatible with previous API categories and is positioned as a premium product in The Delo Performance Advantage platform.

Delo 400 LE Synthetic SAE 5W-40 will be available to order in gallon jugs, five-gallon pails and 55-gallon drums. The product will be available in both the US and Canada, said the company.
