Brammo, an electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer, has introduced its new electric motorcycle, the Enertia Plus, which will feature Brammo Power, the company’s new lithium-ion battery technology, and will be priced at $8995.

The Enertia Plus will weigh 324lbs and will be powered by a 6.0kWh lithium ion battery that will enable the car to travel up to 80 miles on a single charge.

The new EV, which builds upon the standard Enertia motorcycle, will also feature a number of enhancements such as simplified charging, improved maneuverability, and the option to add a center kickstand and Givi side bags.

The company has made the Enertia Plus available for immediate pre-order and will begin the deliveries of the electric motorcycles in 2011.

All the customers will receive federal and state EV tax incentives towards the purchase of the Enertia Plus in addition to getting a Brammo loyalty rebate of $2500 when buying the Enertia Plus during 2011.

Brammo founder and CEO Craig Bramscher said that taking full advantage of the Brammo Power technology, Brammo is now able to offer consumers twice the range in Enertia platform.

“At just a $1000 price difference compared to the Enertia, we are offering a truly practical EV motorcycle with unprecedented consumer value,” Bramscher said.
