The project will be built on private land, situated around 20km northeast of Provost in Alberta.

The company plans to apply for municipal development permits and continues to work on securing additional power purchase agreements, with the AUC approval in place.

BluEarth Renewables president and CEO Kent Brown said the company has received key approval for Bull Creek wind project.

"Once built, this project will contribute to the diversification of wind generation in Alberta, which has historically been concentrated in the southern part of the province," Brown added.

BluEarth is engaged in the acquisition, development, construction and operation of wind, water, and solar projects in North America, with a primary focus in Canada.
