Bladt Industries has completed the final loadout of Walney 4 transition pieces at its site in Aalborg.
The final loadout of Walney 4 transition pieces took place at Bladt Industries site in Aalborg and everything went according to plan.
This was the last transition piece out of a total of 47 transitions pieces for the upcoming DONG Energy project – Walney Extension Offshore Wind Farm. (consisting of 40 TP´s for Walney 3 and 47 TP´s for Walney 4).
The project was initiated in the last quarter of 2015 as Bladt was awarded a contract by EEW Special Pipe Constructions GmbH.
The fabrication was started up in the second quarter of 2016.
The Walney Extension Offshore Wind Farm will have a capacity of 659 MW and will be situated 19 km off the British coast in the Irish Sea.
