EIL, under the contract, will upgrade the refining capacity of the crude oil at the refinery to 15.5 million metric tons per annum (MMPTA) from the current level of 9.5MMPTA.
The company will also provide project management, process design/ residual process design, detailed engineering and procurement, inspection & expediting consultancy services.
EIL, in addition, will provide its services in tendering, construction management & supervision including quality assurance, assistance in start-up, pre-commissioning, commissioning & guarantee test runs for units & facilities of plant.
The major facilities at the refinery are LPG treating unit, CR LPG treating unit, Fuel Gas treating unit, CPP delayed Coker unit and other associated utilities and offsite facilities.
EIL has provided services to several petroleum refinery projects that include grassroots, revamps, and expansion projects.
Engineers India provides engineering and related technical services for petroleum refineries and other industrial projects.
