Astronergy was responsible for the overall design and for providing the main components of the system, including solar panels and balance of systems.

The system is estimated to generate 30 million kWh of electricity, reducing 330 tons of carbon dioxide emissions each year.

Astronergy CEO Liyou Yang said that with the arrival of renewable energy on the campus, the students are able experience first-hand the environmental benefits and convenience of solar technology.

"Astronergy plans to collaborate with more campuses to setup such projects in order to promote the dissemination or solar PV technology and make a lasting positive impact on local communities," Yang said.
