American Petro-Hunter said that the No 1 well at its North Oklahoma project is in production from the Woodford Shale and has completed its first December sales shipment of 850 barrels of oil to Sunoco.
The No 1 Well, located on one of its seven lease blocks covering thick sections of Woodford Shale, has shown steady daily rates of 14bpd from 40ft of shale, according to the company.
The vertical test confirmed the Woodford as productive for oil and gas and is now being engineered as a potential horizontal drilling target with a 2,000ft lateral under consideration.
The company said that the No 1 is being connected for natural gas sales with plans to deliver the associated gas for sale and daily operational use at the project.
