The Atlantic County School District, while offsetting carbon emissions, will also enjoy a discounted electricity price compared to that of the utility. The combined two systems are expected to produce over 800,000 kWh of electricity annually. This will offset about 550 metric tons of carbon dioxide, or the equivalent of burning 600,000 pounds of coal.

The completion of these projects comes just a few weeks after completion of three public school projects in New Brunswick, NJ.
