Under the terms of agreement, the company is mandated to supply three bulb generation units, gates, balance of plant, hydromechanical and erection equipment.
The company stated that the most of the equipments would be produced at its facility in Brazil, while hydromechanical and erection equipment will be produced in partnership with Bardella.
Alstom Brazil president Marcos Costa stated that the company enhances the value for customers by providing optimized power services.
"Alstom’s solutions increase the return on investment by generating more power as well as increasing the efficiency of the installation process and improving the flexibility of operations," added Costa.
Meanwhile, the project, Cachoeira Caldeirão, is planned to be developed on the Araguari River in the Brazilian state of Amapá. It is expected to commence operations by 2017.
