Under the program, the firm plans to drill a total of five holes averaging 90m depth in the southern portion of the property area, which is contained within a valley that is 60kms from the producing lithium mine Albermarle Silver Peak.

The drilling program aims to define shallow lithium mineralization, which will be used by Iconic Minerals for bulk sampling and extend the resource to the south.

Subject to favorable results, the firm plans to drill one or more of the shallow holes to +600m to further enlarge the resource.

Iconic Minerals plans to drill shallow holes using a tracked or buggy reverse circulation (RC) rig suitable for the salt flats being tested.

Samples collected from the down-hole sediment in 6m intervals will be sent to a geochem lab for analysis, the Canadian mineral exploration firm said.

The firm has identified the gravity low within the valley as 20km long, and estimates the current depth to basement rocks range from 600m to 1,200m.

Iconic Minerals said: “Four drill holes have identified an open ended, 43-101 compliant resource of 28.58 billion kilograms of lithium carbonate equivalent.”

The property is located within Sarcobatus Valley that is approximately 30km long and 20km wide.

The basin and its surrounding area are said to possess quartz-rich volcanic rocks containing anomalous amounts of lithium, which was found to be approximately 340parts per million (ppm) following geochemical analyses.

In addition to Bonnie Claire Sarcobatus Valley Lithium property, Iconic Minerals has two other prospective Lithium exploration properties in Nevada which include the the Smith Valley Creek Property, and the Third Nevada Lithium Property.

The firm also owns exploration portfolio which include the Hercules property in the Como mining district, the New Pass property in the New Pass mining district, and the Squaw Creek property in the northern area of the Carlin Trend.
