Bilfinger Middle East, an engineering and industrial services provider, has secured multiple engineering contracts from the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC).

The projects awarded to Bilfinger Middle East encompass the provision of front-end engineering design (FEED) for onshore facilities.

Under the FEED contract terms, the company is expected to provide engineering services for a new wastewater treatment plant located in a refinery complex in Ruwais, along with a basic design and detailed engineering package to enhance existing sulphur dust control systems at two sulphur handling facilities.

In addition, the agreements are set to strengthen its position in the Abu Dhabi hydrocarbon sector, where it has been engaged for more than 45 years.

Bilfinger Tebodin Middle UAE Country Director East Marco van der Linden said: “We are excited to bring Bilfinger Tebodin’s extensive experience, quality and competitive expertise to these important projects, while adding value to the local economy in Abu Dhabi.

“The UAE is a key market for us and we welcome the opportunity to further expand our role in the development and enhancement of its world-class hydrocarbon industry.”

In May 2019, Bilfinger Middle East announced that it has secured three separate contracts for the ADNOC‘s refining unit in Ruwais.

Under the contract, the company would provide turnkey installation, replacement and modification services in ADNOC’s Ruwais-based refining unit.

In addition, it would also design, supply and install upgrade solutions related to hydrocracker (HCK) and hydroskimmer (HSK) units for the refining facility.

Under the second contract, Bilfinger would provide specialised EPC services for the installation of Bernoulli filters for the HCK unit’s seawater network as well as LPG transfer pumps and progressive cavity pumps at the HSK plant.

The third contract company was received to carry out piping modifications for service water and eye shower facilities at the same industrial complex.

Bilfinger is an industrial services provider, with portfolio that covers entire value chain from consulting, engineering, manufacturing, assembly, maintenance, plant expansion as well as turnarounds and also includes environmental technologies and digital applications.
