Photovoltaic (PV) manufacturer Yingli Green Energy has agreed to supply 170MW of solar panels for CFC Group Construction's utility-scale solar PV power projects in Hebei province, China.

As per the agreed terms, Yingli Green Energy subsidiary Yingli Energy will supply over 650,000 multicrystalline YGE Series solar panels during the third quarter and fourth quarter of 2015.

To be installed in power plants located in the city of Zhangjiakou, the panels are designed to generate over 200,000 megawatt-hours of clean energy while reducing CO2 emissions of approximately 120,000 tons.

The projects are being developed as part of the country’s plan to provide clean solar power for a green, low-carbon 2022 Winter Olympic Games which is planned to be held in Zhangjiakou.

Earlier, China’s State Council selected Zhangjiakou as the site of the first renewable energy pilot zone in the country.

CFC Construction Chen Jiguang said: "We have partnered with Yingli for these power plants because, as one of the world’s leading solar panel manufacturers, Yingli’s products meet CFC’s demanding product quality requirements."

Earlier this month, Yingli Green Energy subsidiary Yingli Green Energy Americas and solar technology company PWRstation have partnered to offer rapidly deployable, activation-ready transportable PV solutions.

The companies will bring PWRstation systems including Yingli-energized PWRstation GENESIS system to Americas market.

PWRstation co-founder and CEO Robert Albertella said: "With Yingli’s support, we can change the way communities go solar and increase access to renewable energy."

Yingli Americas managing director Robert Petrina said: "Together, we are expediting and simplifying the deployment of solar power, thereby expanding project opportunities across North, South, Central America and the Caribbean."
