US based energy firm Xtreme Oil & Gas has drilled its first commercial saltwater disposal well in the US state of Oklahoma into the Arbuckle formation.
The company has filed all the required information with the Oklahoma Corporate Commission to get final approval on the permit.
Xtreme said it will move rapidly to complete the surface equipment and begin disposing of saltwater upon receiving the approval.
Commercial saltwater disposal is complementary to Xtreme’s oil production operations and this business is expected to generate about 50% of the company’s revenues during the next five years as it expands disposal operations across its properties.
