Wind Prospect (France), a renewable energy company, has acquired a 10% stake in SEM Energies Renouvelables (SEMER), a public-controlled holding company, gaining part-ownership of 12MW Les Tilleuls wind farm near Issoudun in Central France.

Under the terms of the agreement, Wind Prospect (France), which provides advisory and due diligence services to financial institutions, investors and developers, will handle the commercial and technical management of the wind assets of the acquired ‘Les Tilleuls’ wind farm.

Wind Prospect’s in-house teams handled due diligence, sale purchase agreements, contract negotiation and financial management to facilitate the transaction with SEMER, which is planning to invest into more projects in the future, including solar power.

Wind Prospect (France) director general Barthelemy Rouer said that the acquisition shows that Wind Prospect has the confidence to put its own money behind the advice and support it provides to developers, banks and financiers.

“We strongly believe that this investment consolidates our presence in France. We have added 12MW to our Operations portfolio, as well as considerably strengthening our Advisory position,” Rouer said.
