This second well at the 56,785-acre oil project will test two benches of the Nisku formation and will also be configured to test the Bakken/Three Forks formation at a later date.
Drilling operations on the well is scheduled to commence during the week of 19 March 2012.
Wind River Energy CEO Alan O’Hare said this well is expected to be a key one as the company continues to develop the Phat City project into a multi-pay oil field.
