WORK STARTED ON construction of the Sesan 3 hydroelectric power plant in the central highlands region of Vietnam in June 2002, according to the Vietnam News Agency.

The plant, on the Sesan river, has been designed with two turbines with a capacity of 135MW each, and will generate 1.2B kWh annually. It will be built at a total cost of US$263.5M from domestic investment funds and foreign loans.
