The plant located on the Gam River was completed in three years and will use less water with a low differentiation between the reservoir and the dam to generate electricity.
The plant will have three turbine generators and a production capacity of 48MW and the remaining two turbines will be in operation by 2012.
The national grid will receive 193.4 million kwh of electricity, when the plant undertakes full operations, reports VNS.
