As per the deal signed, Vestas will supply, install and commission 19 V112-3.3MW turbines for the project.

Scope of the contract also includes the provision of a VestasOnline Business SCADA solution for the wind project along with a 15-year full-scope service agreement.

Vestas said another eight turbines will also be supplied to the Brandenburgin wind power project.

The delivery of turbines is slated to begin in the second half of 2014, while the commissioning would be completed in the first quarter of 2015.

Vestas Central Europe president Klaus Steen Mortensen said, "It is a pleasure for us to announce an order for 19 V112-3.3 MW turbines for one of the largest repowering projects in Germany and to realise it together with our valued long-term customer Ventotec, who developed the project for KGE Windpark Schipkau Nord GmbH & Co. KG.

"The V112-3.3 MW is the optimal choice for customers who want to combine the proven technology of our 3 MW platform with an increased annual production at medium wind sites," Mortensen added.
