New Zealand-based utility Vector has announced that its group general counsel, Steve Bielby, and chief information officer, Hanno Schupp, will depart from the company.

Simon Mackenzie, acting CEO of Vector, said that as part of the ongoing operational and cost efficiency focus, both roles have been reviewed against the changing needs of the business. Both Mr Bielby and Mr Schupp, along with the wider executive team, have been involved in shaping the role requirements to meet Vector’s future needs, he added.

Mr Mackenzie said: Both these changes arise from the ongoing strategic management program detailed in our reports to shareholders and the investor market during the course of this year. We are making organizational changes which are all about operating the business more effectively.

In addition, the company said that it has appointed Peter Wilson as group manager of climate change. Mr Wilson will be responsible for managing the group’s strategy, policy and specific initiatives related to energy emissions.
