The US Fish & Wildlife Service has released a presolicitation notice for the design of three fish passages at three dams on the Susquehanna river in Pennsylvania.

Work will include:

Hepburn Street dam – demolition of existing structure, serpentine vertical slot fishway, site survey and geotechnical investigation. Also includes a flow control gate at the attraction water chamber, automated adjustable fishway entrance gate with automated closure gate at exit channel, camera based fish counting with remote feed and viewing room.

Grant Street dam – a Denil fishway with flow control gate and valve pit for the attraction water, automated adjustable fishway entrance channel gate and closure gate.

First Quality Paper Company dam – Denil fishway with standard baffles and concrete flumes.
