US-based Uranium Energy has produced 69,000 pounds of uranium in the third quarter of fiscal 2013 over the production of 48,000 pounds in Q2 2013.
The rise in production during the quarter was driven by the startup of Production Area-3 in December 2012.
Uranium Energy sold 70,000 pounds of uranium at $40 per pound for gross proceeds of $2.8m during Q3 2013.
For the nine months ended 30 April 2013, the company produced 146,000 pounds of uranium from production Areas-1, 2 and 3 of Palangana mine.
The company’s Hobson processing facility processed 154,000 pounds of uranium during the same period.
Uranium Energy also provided update on Goliad ISR Project stating that the project is fully permitted with engineering and construction progressing for the satellite facility and the first production area.
