The Monument project is located about 15 miles southeast of the Nichols Ranch project where the Uranerz is building its first ISR uranium mine.
Uranerz Energy Geology & Development senior vice president said, "We are very pleased to see the level of mineralization at this stage of the exploration drilling in the Monument project area."
The company drilled a total of 30 new uranium trend and delineation holes in a single section of the Monument project area, which followed up on the 48 widely spaced exploration holes drilled last year in the same area.
Uranerz has planned to drill 120 exploration holes in 2012.
The Monument project drilling began in April on the Arkose Mining Venture property by the 89% and 19% joint venture between Uranerz and United Nuclear respectively.
