United Solar (Uni-Solar) has reported the completion of an 807kW solar power system on a total of six school rooftops in the South Country School District in New York, US.

These solar installations, which include Uni-Solar laminates, are expected to provide a carbon offset of 824 metric tons per year.

The annual energy generation to the district is projected to be over 948,000kWh, approximately 158,000kWh of energy generated per school.

Weidersum Associates Architects, a full-service architectural firm, was the developer of the project and Triple M Roofing, a US based roofing company, was the installer of the solar system.

A web-based solar monitoring system provided by Advanced Green Technologies has been installed at each school, displaying real-time usage data.

United Solar is a global manufacturer of lightweight, flexible thin-film solar modules.
