Unified Energy Systems (UES) in Russia reports that its hydroelectric power plants generated 130.5BkWh of electricity in 2005, a year-on-year fall of 4.4%.

According to the Interfax news agency, the company generated 9.3BkWh of hydroelectricity in December 2005. UES said that electricity production in Russia last year totalled 924BkWh, a year-on-year increase of 1.6%.

The company accounts for 70% of Russian electricity production.
