TXU Energy has announced that it will relocate its headquarters to the Las Colinas area of Irving, Texas.

The move, which involves approximately 400 TXU Energy employees plus additional business partners, fulfills a commitment to remain in the Dallas-Fort Worth area while, at the same time, become more separate and distinct from other businesses of Energy Future Holdings (EFH).

As part of EFH’s recent merger, TXU Energy had agreed to establish separate headquarters within six months after the merger closed.

Jim Burke, CEO of TXU Energy, said: We’re very excited about this new location for several reasons. First, it meets an important commitment we made to our customers and key stakeholders during the recent merger. Equally important, we wanted to find a home that will invigorate our employees, and enable our efforts to become a more innovative, customer-focused company.
