TXU Renew, a subsidiary of TXU Wholesale, is issuing a request for proposal (RFP) to purchase up to 200 MW of renewable energy capacity in the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) region. Proposals are due 10 July, 2006.
Contracts for the development of projects are expected by the end of the summer. TXU Renew was launched in early May with the goal of adding 700 MW of renewable energy over the next 5 years.
