As per the turkish minister, his government felt it was important to develop relations with Kyrgyzstan, which has strong historical and cultural ties with Turkey.

Kyrgyz Energy Minister Ilyas Davydov said that he encouraged Turkey to make investments in Kyrgyzstan, expressing his wish for increased trade volume between the two countries. Davydov said Kyrgyzstan had great hydroelectric potential, adding that it was only able to utilize 10% of its coal resources. Davydov further noted that Kyrgyzstan was specifically looking at the investment in technology used in synthetics and wool products as well as construction materials.

Ilyas Davydov noted that the traditionally amicable relations between the two countries will pave the way for further cooperation in various fields.
