The project, which will be owned by the Ma’an Development (MDC), will be constructed jointly by Phoenix Solar and Mustakbal.

The electricity generated by the solar power project will be supplied to two student dormitory buildings in the Ma’an development area residential community in Ma’an.

The 4,032 Trina solar modules are expected to generate about 2,000MWh of solar electricity annually, upon completion.

Trina Solar chairman and CEO Jifan Gao said the new collaboration with Phoenix Solar and Mustakbal recognises once again company’s wide experience as a solar leader.

"Jordan is a rapidly emerging solar market and today’s announcement marks Trina’s continued progress in our strategy of geographical and market diversification," Gao added.
