Treaty Energy has acquired eight oil and gas leases totaling 1,347 acres in the US state of Texas.

With this acquisition, the company has now a total of 1,787 acres under lease in Texas that are spread over 13 leases.

Treaty Energy president and chief operating officer Stephen York said that the company will assume operational control of these leases through the company-owned operating subsidiary, C&C Petroleum Management, in early June.

The new acquisition consists of 13 fully equipped and producing wells, 18 shut-in wells to be put back on line, 12 injection wells and four water supply wells.

The company has also acquired eight individual tank batteries consisting of 17 storage tanks, eight oil/water separators, six water pumping stations, miscellaneous tubing, pipe, and casings.
