The Keaton #1H will be drilled and completed horizontally in the Marcellus shale.
The company has completed the drilling of the Groves #1H and have now begun the drilling of the Keaton #1H, the third of the company’s four planned horizontal Marcellus wells in Marshall County in the second half of 2010.
The company said that it now has both the Stout #2H and the Groves #1H wells drilled and behind pipe and waiting to be fracked and it is currently working with a number of frac companies in trying to schedule the fracking of the wells.
Trans Energy president John Corp said that it continues to move to a development phase from an exploration phase as it develops its acreage position in northern West Virginia.
