TNT Logistics is the new partner for the European warehousing and distribution operations of WashTec Cleaning Group, a leading provider of carwash solutions. The contract will run for three years in the first instance.
WashTec’s pan-European spare parts logistics operations will be based on three regional spare parts warehouses in Norway, France and the UK, in addition to its current European spare parts distribution centre in Germany.
Starting this autumn, TNT will be stockpiling 10,000 articles in its multi-user warehouse in Eppertshausen, near Frankfurt, and will be distributing more than 67,000 shipments annually to locations across Europe.
Implementation of the pan-European spare parts logistics project with TNT Logistics will purportedly allow WashTec to reduce its working capital and overheads, while improving its capacity for immediate response to delivery requests.
