The emergency standby power system will be installed at St Jude Medical Manufacturing facility in Minnetonka, Minnesota.

The emergency power system will be installed outdoors with a sound attenuated weather protective enclosure. The system will be provided with a 690 gallon sub-base double walled diesel fuel tank. The emergency power system produces 480 volt electricity and is large enough to back up the entire manufacturing facility. The engine generators are controlled by one service entrance rated automatic transfer switch. The transfer switch monitors the incoming utility and if there is a loss of normal power it will automatically start the engine generators and transfer the facility over to emergency power within 10 seconds.
