France-based Technip has secured a contract from Chevron North America Exploration and Production for development of the Jack and St-Malo fields, located in the Walker Ridge area of the Gulf of Mexico at a water depth of about 7,000ft.

The contract covers the engineering, fabrication and subsea installation of more than 53 miles of 10.75" outer diameter of flowlines, steel catenary risers, pipeline end terminations, manifolds, pump stations and tie-in skids.

The company said that its operating center in Houston, Texas, will perform the overall project management.

Offshore installation is expected to be completed by Technip’s Deep Blue deepwater pipelay vessel in 2013.

Technip is a provider of project management, engineering and construction services for the oil and gas industry.
