The company is selling its interest in the 72MW power project to a fund managed by Climate Change Capital for a total cash consideration of £61.3m ($98.2m), excluding working capital.

The latest deal follows the April 2011 sale to Infinis of SSE’s 100% interest in three onshore wind farms, with a total generating capacity of 96.8MW, for £178.4m ($285.85m).

SSE said it will have 775MW of onshore wind farm capacity in operation after these disposals.

The company also has 12 onshore wind energy projects, with a total capacity of 714MW, under construction in Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
