Siemens is to supply 30 wind power systems with a combined capacity of 108 MW for the Gunfleet Sands project off the east coast of England.
Gunfleet Sands will be the third British offshore project in which the 3.6 MW Siemens wind turbine is deployed. The purchaser is the Danish company DONG Energy, which is developing the project at a total investment of approximately €270 million.
Construction is scheduled to begin in 2009.
