The oil and gas exploration firm JKX Oil and Gas has clinched a spply deal to provide gas to Royal Dutch Shell from one of its newly-operational fields in Ukraine.

The deal was agreed between JKX’s Ukrainian arm, Politava Petroleum Energy, and its counterpart Shell Energy Ukraine, and foresees the delivery of at least 8.75 billion cubic feet of gas for 12 months commencing in August 2006.
