Din asserted that with the establishment of the network, the company can provide power to a specific location if one link breaks down.

The power supply transmission system would enable an increase in power transmission from the current 66 kV to 132 kV from Malawa, in the north part of the city, to Lok Kawi in the south part of the city.

Baharin Din said “This capacity is important because the transmission lines are the backbone of our power supply network.”

The federal administration, under the 9th Malaysia plan, has provided funds for the project.
