Sequentric Energy Systems, a smart grid technology developer, has entered into a strategic partnership with Incenergy, a smart grid software company and energy management systems integrator, to deliver new energy management systems.

The collaboration will integrate Sequentric’s internet protocol-based hardware and software systems for smart grid technology with Incenergy’s energy management system to create customized smart grid networks through demand response and information management.

Incenergy’s energy management system platform helps users save energy by providing visibility into a building’s energy consumption through customized web-portal, email, text messages and in-home displays and scheduling temperature settings and power usage to optimize rate changes.

The partnership will allow Sequentric to leverage Incenergy’s system that aggregates peak demand savings from each end-point, enabling utility to manage the gird’s power load and reduce brownout emergency events, to develop new smart grid compatible energy management products.

Incenergy is already using Sequentric products to deploy advanced smart grid systems for 1,000 volunteer homes under the Pecan Street Project in Austin, Texas funded by a Department of Energy grant through the American Recover and Reinvestment Act.

Sequentric Energy Systems CEO Daniel Flohr said that the company is delighted to be working with Incenergy.

“The integration of our smart grid technologies into their product offerings has been completed. We are pleased to be included in their current projects and we look forward to growing our businesses together,” Flohr said.
