Two new wind farms under development in Brazil

Brazil’s Ceara state infrastructure department (Seinfra) is to build two 30 MW wind farms in the north eastern state of Ceara after national regulator Aneel allowed the group to operate as an independent power producer. The two wind farms, Camocim and Paracuru, will start operations by July 2006 and are expected to cost some Real 150 million ($55.5 million).
