Seabridge is planning to develop a combined open-pit and underground gold-copper silver and molydenum mine in the Kerr, Sulphurets and Mitchell Creek watersheds, reported Mining.com.

The company said it has so far spent over $176m in exploration, engineering and environmental work to advance the mine.

Over an anticipated mine life of 52 years, the project is expected to process 130,000 tons of ore per day.

It is expected to support the region with 1,800 direct and 4,770 indirect jobs during construction and 1,040 jobs on commencing production.
