Schneider Power Inc. (Schneider) has appointed Lewis Reford to its board of directors. Reford is an energy and corporate finance professional. He has international expertise in renewable energy generation. Schneider also announced the resignation of Tim Gallagher. Currently, board of directors of the company consists of Richard Boxer, Ralf Krueger, Lewis Reford, Bernd Schneider, Thomas Schneider and Jonathan Lundy.

Currently, Reford serves as the Toronto based head of Energy Investments for the Gazit Group. Prior to Gazit, he served as president and chief executive officer (CEO) of MGI Securities and managing director with J.P. Morgan Securities. Reford also ran for Parliament in the 2006 federal election on behalf of the Conservative Party of Canada. He received a degree in geophysical engineering from the Colorado School of Mines. He also serves on the board of a number of civic cultural institutions including the Sony Center for the Performing Arts.

Jonathan Lundy, CEO of Schneider said, Reford understands the challenges in our industry on both the financial and engineering side and brings a wealth of industry knowledge to Schneider Power. Schneider also said that Gallagher will continue to have a relationship with tehcomapny, as he has been retained to assist with corporate finance and development activities.
