The plant is situated in Stoke Bardolph near Nottingham in the East Midlands and would be operated by the water utility Severn Trent Water. The plant per annum would process approximately 34,000 tonnes of maize silage and 2,500 tonnes of whole plant silage.

The construction work at the site has already commenced and the plant is expected to begin its operations by the end of 2009.

Schmack Biogas provides services through its two divisions, namely Design and Construction and Service. Apart from the full-service repair and maintenance contracts, the company also provides microbiological support and integrated plant management services.
