The PTT exploration and production of Australasia (PTTEPAA) has awarded SapuraAcergy a $160m contract to develop the Montara Development Project.
The project is located in the southern Timor Sea about 690km to the west of Darwin.
As per the contract, SapuraAcergy is involved in the engineering, procurement, load out, transportation and construction activities for the removal and disposal of the existing topside and the transportation and installation of new pipelines, risers, umbilicals, spools, manifolds, FPSO mooring systems and a new replacement topside.
All these are to be carried out at PTTEPAA’s Montara Development Project in water depths of about 80m.
Engineering and project preparations will commence immediately, and SapuraAcergy will use its vessel Sapura 3000 for the offshore installation.
