US-based RMT said it will design and build ten new wind energy projects and eight utility-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) projects this year.

The wind energy projects have a total generating capacity of about 1,100MW, while the solar PV projects have a total capacity of 55MW (DC).

These power projects bring the total renewable energy portfolio of the company to more than 4,900MW.

RMT’s 2011 wind energy construction projects include the 102MW Milford II in Utah, 99MW Granite Reliable in New Hampshire, 10MW Kingman in Arizona, 201MW Post Rock in Kansas, 40MW Sheffield in Vermont, 120MW Windstar in California, and four additional projects totaling about 470MW in the US.

RMT, a subsidiary of power company Alliant Energy, is an EPC firm specializing in the design and construction of clean energy facilities.
