TRA is investigating the hydro power development in cooperation with the East Texas Electric Cooperative (ETEC), a regional generating and transmission entity.
If it proves feasible, TRA anticipates developing a 50MW hydro plant. It is estimated that this facility will be capable of producing an average 178M kWh of energy on an annual basis when complete.
