Romania’s minster of trade and industry, Radu Berceanu, has declared that unless the drought ends in the country the price of energy will be increased.

The quantity of energy produced by hydro plants is decreasing and may have to replaced by more expensive energy from thermal power plants in order to meet demand. At the moment, the Romanian utility Conel says it is trying to compensate for the decrease in hydro power without influencing the price for consumers.
